From its 8,900-acre Cañeten property, situated in western Colchagua, not far from Marchigüe and around twenty-five miles from the coast, this French-owned project is one of the first foreign-sponsored winemaking operations in Chile. Like others, it focused at first on trying to make Bordeaux-styled wines in South America, but it has slowly shifted its efforts to making the best Chilean wines it can. It has the largest contiguous vineyard in Colchagua, encompassing more than 1,400 acres of grapes.
